Optional Alkaline cartridges are used to increase pH and create a negative oxidation-reduction potential. 
 
Increases the pH of the filtered water 
Changes the oxidation/reduction potential of the water (ORP)
Reduces the size of the clusters of water molecules so that the water is more easily absorbed in the body
Adds to the water beneficial alkaline minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium.
 
To replace the filters simply twist the used filter off and twist the new filter on. No tools, no buckets, no mess.
